Kochi Tuskers Kerala (KTK) played fourteen matches in the2011 Indian Premier League, with 20 players representing it in these matches.[1] KTK was a franchisecricket team based inKochi, Kerala, which was a part of the 2011 season of theIndian Premier League (IPL).[2] The IPL is a professional league forTwenty20 (T20) cricket in India. The team was one of two new franchises added to the IPL, alongside thePune Warriors India; however it was terminated by theBoard of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for "breaching its terms of agreement".[3][4] It was owned byKochi Cricket Pvt Ltd.,[5] captained byMahela Jayawardene, and coached byGeoff Lawson.[6] Their first match was againstRoyal Challengers Bangalore,[7] whereas their first win was againstMumbai Indians.[8]

In total, KTK played fourteen IPL matches.[9] Four KTK players took part in all fourteen matches:Brad Hodge,Parthiv Patel,Ravindra Jadeja, andR. P. Singh.[10]Brendon McCullum, who has played in thirteen matches out of the team's 14 IPL fixtures, was the leading run-scorer with 357 runs.[11] His score of 81, made against Mumbai Indians, was the highest total by an KTK batsman.[12]Brad Hodge had the highestbatting average,[13] whereasMahela Jayawardene scored the most number ofhalf-centuries for KTK with three.[14] RP Singh claimed morewickets than any other KTK player, having taken 13.[15] The bestbowling average wasBrad Hodge's 11.00, though among bowlers who have bowled more than 20overs, RP Singh had the best average: 26.53.[16]Brad Hodge also has the best bowling figures in an innings; he claimed four wickets againstRajasthan Royals, while only conceding thirteen runs.[17]Parthiv Patel tookn eight catches and has taken one stump aswicket-keeper for KTK.[18]Mahela Jayawardene and RP Singh has claimed the highest number of catches among fielders, both taking six.[19]
