TheGreater Western Sydney Giants, also known as the GWS Giants, are anAustralian rules football club based in theGreater Western Sydney region ofNew South Wales. The club joined theAustralian Football League (AFL) as an expansion club, playing their first match during the first round of the2012 AFL season. In their first twelve completedseasons, the club qualified for thefinals series on six occasions, with oneGrand Final appearance and nopremierships.
