The British nominations were led byThe Theory of Everything,The Grand Budapest Hotel,The Imitation Game andSelma, withThe Grand Budapest Hotel going on to win large numbers of technical awards, whilstEddie Redmayne andJulianne Moore won multiple best leading actor and leading actress awards forThe Theory of Everything andStill Alice respectively. British films did, however, notably lose out toBoyhood andBirdman (both from theUnited States).
