Linus Patrick Power (born 11 October 1972) is an Australian politician currently serving as the member forLogan in theLegislative Assembly of Queensland.[2]
Power went to school atClairvaux MacKillop College, then pursued higher education atGriffith University where he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce. He also holds a master's degree in Public Administration fromHarvard University.[3] Prior to entering politics, Power was a high school teacher of History, English and Japanese.
Being an MP forLogan, the former seat of QueenslandLaborPremierWayne Goss, Power cited Goss'1992 re-election campaign for prompting him to join the party.[4] Power was elected to theQueensland Parliament at the2015 state election. He was re-elected in2017,2020 and2024.[5][6] Power has served on various parliamentary committees since being elected.[7]
