Liaoxi (simplified Chinese:辽西省;traditional Chinese:遼西省;pinyin:Liáoxī Shěng;Wade–Giles:Liao-hsi;lit. 'West of theLiao') was a former province inNortheast China, located in what is now part ofLiaoning andJilin provinces.[1] It existed from 1949 to 1954, and its capital wasJinzhou.
