Levi Garrett is a brand of loose-leafchewing tobacco produced by theAmerican Snuff Company. Levi Garrett has a noticeably sweet flavour, with a larger cut thanAmerica's Best Chew, Beech-Nut, and other brands of loose-leaf chewing tobacco.

The brand Levi Garrett was introduced on the US market in 1974 by Conwood Corporation ofTennessee (later acquired byDalfort, now called theAmerican Snuff Company[1]). By 1981, it was already second in the US chewing tobacco market.[2] Levi Garrett became known for their sponsorship of various teams in the thenNASCAR Winston Cup Series. Most notably, theHendrick Motorsports #5 driven byGeoff Bodine andRicky Rudd.
The nameLevi Garrett is derived from an individual named Levi Garrett who lived in the 1800s and was part of the Garrett family, which started theGarrett Snuff Mill in theGarrett Snuff Mills Historic District inYorklyn, Delaware. A predecessor company to theAmerican Snuff Company was calledLevi Garrett and Sons.
