Leo Alphonse "Barney" Barnhorst (May 11, 1924 – August 25, 2000) was an Americanbasketball player.

A 6'4"forward/guard fromCathedral High School inIndianapolis, Barnhorst played four seasons atUniversity of Notre Dame, where he was an honorable mentionAll-American. He then played professionally in theNBA for theChicago Stags,Indianapolis Olympians,Baltimore Bullets andFort Wayne Pistons. Barnhorst appeared in twoNBA All-Star Games (1952, 1953) and scored 3,232 career points.[1]

Barnhorst was inducted into theIndiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 1980.
