Lenin (Moldovan Cyrillic:Ленин,Ukrainian:Леніне,romanized: Lenine,Russian:Ле́нино,Russian:Lénino) is a commune in theRîbnița District ofTransnistria,Moldova. It is composed of four villages: Lenin, Pervomaisc, Pobeda and Stanislavca.[1] It has since 1990 been administered as a part of the self-proclaimedPridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. According to the 2004 census, the village's population was 635, of which 176 (27.71%) were Moldovans (Romanians), 413 (65.03%) Ukrainians and 41 (6.45%) Russians.[2]
