Lengshuitan District (simplified Chinese:冷水滩区;traditional Chinese:冷水灘區;pinyin:Lěngshuǐtān Qū;lit. 'cold water shoal') is one of two urbandistricts ofYongzhou City,Hunan Province, China. It is located on the north of the city proper, and lies to the eastern border ofGuangxi. In July 1997, thegovernment seat ofYongzhou City was moved here fromLingling District.
The district is bordered to the northwest and the north byDong'an County, to the northeast and the east byQidong andQiyang Counties, and to the south byLingling District. The district covers an area of 1,221 km2 (471 sq mi), and as of 2015, It had a registered population of 552,600 and a resident population of 529,200.[4] Lengshuitan District has 8subdistricts, 8towns, and 3townships under its jurisdiction, and thegovernment seat isWutong (梧桐街道).[5]
