Lee Yoo-young (Korean: 이유영; born January 23, 1995), known professionally asLee Hwa-kyum (이화겸), is a South Korean actress and former singer. She is best known as a former member of the South Korean girl groupHello Venus. Following the group's disbandment, she turned to acting career.

Early life and education

Lee was born on January 23, 1995.[1] She has an older sister who is three years older than her.[1] She got accepted into the Department of Theatre and Film atChung-Ang University.[2]

Career

Lee was introduced as a member of the South Korean girl groupHello Venus.[3] They debuted with theirEPs albumVenus on May 10, 2012.[4] On March 14, 2013, Lee made her acting debut in theSBS television seriesWonderful Mama which premiered on April 13.[5]

After Hello Venus disbandment on April 26, 2019, she continued to promote as an actress under the new stage name, Lee Hwa-kyum.[6] On June 28, 2021, it was announced that Lee had signed a contract with Prain TPC.[7] On March 24, 2023, It was confirmed that Lee had decided to renew her contract with Prain TPC.[8]
