Leandro Netto de Macedo (born 7 May 1979) is a Brazilian formerfootballer who played as acentre forward.

Football career

Netto was born inRio de Janeiro. He began his senior career withSport Club Corinthians Paulista andClube Atlético Paranaense in theSérie A, and also played withMadureira Esporte Clube in theCampeonato Carioca.

With the exception of one year inSerbia in theFirst League of FR Yugoslavia, and a few months in Spain withDeportivo de La Coruña'sreserves (loaned byAcadémica de Coimbra), Netto spent his first eight years as a professional inPortugal, representing five teams almost always in thesecond division. His onlyPrimeira Liga experience occurred in2005–06, when he went scoreless forGil Vicente F.C. in a relegation-ending season, due to irregularities; in the 2006 Januarytransfer window, he had already moved toLeixões SC.

After one year inSyria withAl-Karamah SC – which he helped winthe double in 2007 – Netto played in his native Brazil, including a spell in the regional leagues, after which he settled in China withHenan Construction FC. He helped the newly promotedChinese Super League side to the third place in2009, and consistently ranked amongst the competition's top scorers in the following campaigns.

In 2014, Netto returned to Brazil: after a brief spell withClube Atlético Metropolitano, he joinedSérie B clubSampaio Corrêa Futebol Clube.[3]

In 2016, he played forFerroviário atlético Clube since January till September, and then in Outumn he played withBoca Raton FC in theAmerican Premier Soccer League.[4]
