TheLeamington–Stratford line is a railway line linkingLeamington Spa andStratford-upon-Avon inWarwickshire, England. It follows theChiltern Main Line from Leamington Spa toHatton before diverging to the south. It servesStratford-upon-Avon,Wilmcote,Bearley,Claverdon,Hatton,Warwick, andLeamington Spa. AtWilmcote, it joins theNorth Warwickshire Line.[1]
The section betweenHatton and Wilmcote was opened in 1880, and doubled in 1939.[2]
Passenger services are primarily operated byChiltern Railways. They replaced the previous operator,First Great Western Link, in early 2005. Some services are operated byWest Midlands Railway which run betweenBirmingham Snow Hill andStratford-upon-Avon viaSolihull.[3]
