Lavans-lès-Saint-Claude (French pronunciation:[lavɑ̃lɛsɛ̃klod], literallyLavansnearSaint-Claude) is acommune in theJuradepartment inBourgogne-Franche-Comté in easternFrance.[3] On 1 January 2016, the former commune ofPonthoux was merged into Lavans-lès-Saint-Claude.[4] On 1 January 2019, the former commune ofPratz was merged into Lavans-lès-Saint-Claude.[5]
