Laura Ramsey (born November 14, 1982) is an American film and television actress. She is best known for her roles in films such as 2006'sShe's the Man andThe Covenant, 2008'sThe Ruins, 2009'sMiddle Men, 2011'sKill the Irishman, and 2013'sAre You Here.
Ramsey was born on November 14, 1982,[1] inBrandon,Wisconsin, the daughter of Jill and Mark Ramsey.[2] She graduated from Laconia High School inRosendale, Wisconsin, in 2001 and then attendedRipon College inRipon, Wisconsin.[3]
Ramsey was approached while working in a restaurant onSunset Boulevard and received an audition the next day,[4] for a role she won—The Real Cancun, a documentary that revolves around the exploits of several American youths in Mexico.[5] She then began a role inABC's television series,The Days[6] before making her feature-film acting debut withCatherine Hardwicke'sLords of Dogtown.[7] She returned to television and made an appearance in an episode ("The Jet Set") of theAMC seriesMad Men.[5][8] In 2015, Ramsey starred as Becca Brady on theVH1 scripted seriesHindsight.[9] In 2023, after taking an eight-year hiatus from acting, Ramsey starred inLifetime's television filmA Rose for Her Grave: The Randy Roth Story that is loosely based onthe book of the same name.[10]
Ramsey has a daughter and a son[11][12] with Greg Chait, a designer withThe Elder Statesmen.[13]
In 2022, Ramsey launched her own organic herbal company calledNia's Arc, after completing an apprenticeship in plant medicine.[14]
