Latarcins are shortantimicrobial peptides from thevenom of thespiderLachesana tarabaevi.[1] Latarcins adopt anamphipathicalpha-helicalstructure in theplasma membrane. Possible pharmacological applications for latarcins includeantimicrobial andanticancer treatments.[2]
