Lasha Bekauri (born 26 July 2000) is a Georgianjudoka.[4] He won the gold medal in the men's 90 kg event at the2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan and the2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.[5][6] He also won the gold medal in his event at the2019 and2023 World Masters and the2021 European Championships, as well as in the mixed team events at the2023 European Games and2025 World Championships.

Career

Bekauri won the silver medal in themen's 90 kg event at the2019 Summer Universiade held in Naples, Italy.[7] In that same year, he won the gold medal in the men's 90 kg event at the2019 Judo World Masters held in Qingdao, China.

Bekauri won one of the bronze medals in the men's 90 kg event at the2021 Judo World Masters held in Doha, Qatar.[8] A month later, he won the gold medal in his event at the2021 Judo Grand Slam Tel Aviv held in Tel Aviv, Israel.[9] A few months later, he also won the gold medal inhis event at the2021 European Judo Championships held in Lisbon, Portugal.[10]

He won the gold medal in his event at2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
