Lars-Erik Lövdén (born 1950) is aSwedish politician, formergovernment minister and former member of theRiksdag, the nationallegislature. A member of theSocial Democratic Party, he representedMalmö Municipality between January 1980 and October 2004.[3] He was also asubstitute member of the Riksdag twice: between October 1979 and November 1979 (forGrethe Lundblad); and between November 1979 and December 1979 (forEric Holmqvist).[3][4][5]
Lövdén was born inMalmö.[6] He is the son of Sten Lövdén and Inga Lövdén (née Roslind).[6] He has aBachelor of Laws degree fromLund University (1975).[6]
Lövdén wasMinister for Housing and Local Government between November 1998 and October 2004 andMinister of the Interior between November 1998 and December 1998.[7][8] He wasGovernor ofHalland County between January 2005 and January 2014.[7][9] He is currently president of MKB Fastighets AB, the localmunicipal housing company in Malmö.[10][11]
