Larisa (Ancient Greek:Λάρισα) was a town ofancient Ionia.Strabo distinguishes it from other homonymous cities of Asia Minor, mentioning that the Larisa of Ionia was in theCayster River plain, 180stadia fromEphesus, where there was a sanctuary ofApollo Larisaeus.[1]
