Lardo is a small chain of sandwich restaurants, based inPortland, Oregon. As of 2024, the company operates in Portland on SoutheastHawthorne Boulevard, at theModa Center, and at thePortland International Airport. Additionally, Lardo operates in Las Vegas[1] and previously operated in Lake Oswego.[2]

Locations

The first two restaurants opened inSoutheast Portland'sHosford-Abernethy neighborhood and indowntown's West End. A third restaurant, sometimes referred to a Lardo North, opened alongNorth Williams Avenue in 2014.[3] TheNorth Portland location closed in 2016,[4] and the West End location closed in 2024.[1] Lardo also operates at thePortland International Airport.[5] The business became a vendor at Moda Center in 2023.[6]

The Lardo atMercato Grove inLake Oswego closed on January 6, 2025.[2]

Reception

Lardo won in the Best Sandwich Shop category ofWillamette Week's annual 'Best of Portland' readers' poll in 2016,[7] 2017,[8] 2018,[9] and 2022.[10] Writers forPortland Monthly included the Korean pork shoulder in a 2025 list of the city's "most iconic" dishes.[11]
