Lanarkshire (Parliament of Scotland constituency)

Before theActs of Union 1707, thebarons of theshire of Lanark electedcommissioners to represent them in the unicameralParliament of Scotland and in theConvention of the Estates. The number of commissioners was increased from two to four in 1690.

From1708Lanarkshire was represented by one Member of Parliament in theHouse of Commons of Great Britain.
