Elizabeth Tudor (Элизабет Тюдор; full nameLala Elizabeth Tudor Hassenberg (Лала Элизабет Тюдор Гассенберг), also known asLala Hasanova (Лала Гасанова) (born July 26, 1978 inBaku), is an Azerbaijani-Russian science fiction writer and lawyer ofJewish ancestry.[1]

Biography

Born in Baku, Tudor graduated from theAzerbaijan International University in 1998, theFlorida International University in 2013[2] and theUniversity of Miami School of Law in 2015. She started to write in 1994, having selected science fiction as her chosen genre.Tudor is a member of the International Federation of Russian-speaking Writers and the Writers' Union of Azerbaijan.[3] She is also a member of international writers' unions such asThe New Contemporary andBroad Universe.[4] In 2016, Elizabeth Tudor became a member of theAuthors Guild, the America's oldest and largest professional organization for writers.[5]

Career

Tudor'sfirst novel was published in 2001, thescience fiction novelWar of Times.[3] In 2002, Elizabeth Tudor was accepted into the Union of Writers ofAzerbaijan. In the same year her two new books, the science-fiction novelElects of Heavens and the collection of fantastic and adventure storiesMurderer Chupacabra were published.[3]

In 2003, she finished the historical-fantastic novelSecret of Underwater Caspian. 2004 was marked by the publication of the science fiction novelSeven Envoys, which she devoted to the memory of English writerWalter Scott. In 2005 two other books were published –Exiles of Heavens andMasters of heavens.

In 2007, Tudor's next science-fiction novelCollision, was dedicated to theGovernor of CaliforniaArnold Schwarzenegger. This was the only book from Azerbaijan included in a Russian literary festival held in Stuttgart, Germany, in 2008.[citation needed] In the same year asCollision, the collection of storiesThe Shadow of Centuries was issued.

Her seriesSaros of historical fantasy novels will be reportedly a 13-volume series.[1]
