TheLake of the Woods State Forest is astate forest located south ofLake of the Woods inBeltrami,Koochiching,Lake of the Woods andRoseau counties inMinnesota, USA. The forest borders thePine Island State Forest to the east and theBeltrami Island State Forest to the west.
Outdoor recreational activities includeboating,canoeing,kayaking andfishing.Hunting for small game andwhite-tailed deer is popular in the fall andtrails are designated forsnowmobiling in the winter.Camping facilities are available at Beltrami Island State Forest and the nearbyZippel Bay State Park.[2]
