Lake Ruovesi is a medium-sized lake inCentral Finland. It is situated in the municipalities ofRuovesi andMänttä-Vilppula in thePirkanmaa region in western Finland. Besides the municipality, a local newspaper published in that municipality is also named Ruovesi.[2]
The lake is a part of theKokemäki River basin and its main inflows are the LakeTarjanne in north and theLake Kuorevesi in the east. The lake drains into the lakePalovesi in south, which in its turn drains into the lakeNäsijärvi.[1]
