László Földy (30 September 1934 inBudapest – 17 February 2015 inBasel) was a male formerHungarian andSwiss internationaltable tennis player.[1]

He won sixWorld Table Tennis Championship medals from 1953 to 1961.[2] This consisted of four medals in the team event, abronze medal in the doubles withZoltán Berczik and another bronze in the mixed doubles withÉva Kóczián.[3]

In the early 1970s, Földy emigrated toSwitzerland and since 1971, he represented this country on the international arena.[4]

He married fellow Hungarian international and his mixed doubles partner Éva Kóczián.
