Takebishi Stadium Kyoto (たけびしスタジアム京都) is amulti-purpose stadium inUkyo-ku,Kyoto,Japan. It was formerly known asKyoto Nishikyogoku Athletic Stadium. Since August 2019 it has been calledTakebishi Stadium Kyoto until July 2029 for thenaming rights byTakebishi (たけびし).[1]

It was used mostly forfootball matches and was the home stadium ofJ.League clubKyoto Sanga FC until 2019.

The stadium holds 20,588 people and was built in 1942. It hosted thefootball match betweenRomania andGhana during the1964 Summer Olympics.

In 2019, Kyoto Sanga announced plans to move toSanga Stadium by Kyocera, a new, football-specific stadium being built inKameoka, in time for the2020 season to start.
