Kyle Rowe (born 8 February 1998) is a professionalrugby union player who plays as awing forUnited Rugby Championship clubGlasgow Warriors. Born in England, he representsScotland at international level after qualifying onresidency grounds.[1]

Early life

Rowe's family moved to Scotland when he was 8.[2] He was educated atQueen Victoria School inDunblane. Rowe started withFalkirk RFC before moving toGlasgow Hawks.[3]

Rowe won the Premiership title and the Scottish Cup withAyr in 2019; scoring three tries across both finals.[4]

Club career

He was named as part of theScotland 7s that will be available toGlasgow Warriors for selection for the first part of the2019-20 season to help the club deal with the loss of their international players for the2019 Rugby World Cup.[5]

After a stint atEdinburgh he signed forLondon Irish ahead of the 2021–22 season.[6]

He signed again forGlasgow Warriors on 5 July 2023 in a two-year deal.[7]

International career

Rowe was capped atScotland U19 grade.[8]

Rowe was capped forScotland U20.[1] He played for the U20s from 2018 to 2019.[9]

He was selected as part of theScotland 7s squad for the London Sevens tournament.[4] He was capped forScotland 7s during that tournament.[10]

In January 2022 Rowe was named in theScotland squad for the6 Nations Championship but did not get to play.[11]

On 9 July 2022 he went on as a replacement forRory Hutchinson late in the first half in the second test againstArgentina inSalta to win his first full international cap. However, he played for just 12 minutes before going off injured.[12]
