1960s Soviet turbofan aircraft engine
TheNK-8 was a low-bypassturbofan engine built by theKuznetsov Design Bureau, in the 90 kN (20,000 lbf) thrust class. It powered production models of theIlyushin Il-62 and theTupolev Tu-154A and B models.
