Kuwani is a poorly attestedPapuan language of theBird's Head Peninsula of New Guinea. It is attested only from a single word list, and even its exact location is unknown.[1]
Smits and Voorhoeve (1998) assumed it to be equivalent toKalabra, but there are significant lexical differences.[2] Some lexical differences between Kuwani andKalabra are given below.[3]
