Kurt Bannon Crain (December 31, 1964 – April 10, 2012) was an Americanfootball player and coach. He played college football for theUniversity of Memphis andAuburn University. He went on to play two seasons in the NFL – one for theHouston Oilers, the other for theGreen Bay Packers. He was drafted by the Oilers in the sixth round of the 1988 NFL Draft.[1] In 2008, he joined the coaching staff of theUniversity of South Alabama.[2][3]
Crain died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home inSpanish Fort, Alabama on April 10, 2012. He was 47.[2][3]
