Kurt Bodewig (born 26 April 1955) is a German politician of theSocial Democratic Party (SPD) who served as a member of the GermanBundestag from 1998 to 2009, representing theNeuss I district. From 2000 to 2002, he served as Minister for Transport, Building and Urban Development in thegovernment ofChancellorGerhard Schröder.
From 1998 until 2000, Bodewig served as Parliamentary State Secretary under ministerReinhard Klimmt in thegovernment ofChancellorGerhard Schröder. In 2000, he succeeded Klimmt as minister. Following the2002 elections, he was replaced byManfred Stolpe.
From 2002 until 2009, Bodewig served on the Committee on European Affairs.
