Kue asida (Arabic:عصيدة,romanized‘aṣīdah;Jawi:اسيدا) is anIndonesianpuddingdessert made of water with mixture ofwheat flour,sugar,cinnamon,cardamom,butter andhoney. This dessert is typicalMoluccan cuisine and also found inMalay Indonesian andArab Indonesian cuisine. It usually served duringRamadan foriftar. Kue asida is similar tododol.[1]

Origin

The origin of kue asida is believed to be derived from theMiddle Easternasida that was introduced byArab merchants throughout theMaluku Islands.
