Kozara is a 1962Yugoslav film directed byVeljko Bulajić. It is a well known film of thepartisan film subgenre popular in Yugoslavia in the 1960s and 1970s and depicts events surrounding theBattle of Kozara.
It won theBig Golden Arena for Best Film at the 1962Pula Film Festival, the Yugoslav national film awards,[1] was entered into the3rd Moscow International Film Festival where it won a Golden Prize,[2] and was selected as the Yugoslav entry for theBest Foreign Language Film at the32nd Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.[3]
