Kosmos 2381 (Russian:Космос 2381 meaningCosmos 2381) is one of a set of threeRussian militarysatellites launched in 2001 as part of theGLONASS satellite navigation system. It was launched withKosmos 2380 andKosmos 2382.
This satellite is a GLONASS satellite, also known as Uragan, and is numbered Uragan No. 789.[1]
Kosmos 2380/1/2 were launched fromSite 81/24 atBaikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. AProton-K carrier rocket with aBlok DM upper stage was used to perform the launch which took place at 18:04 UTC on 1 December 2001. The launch successfully placed the satellites intoMedium Earth orbit. It subsequently received itsKosmos designation, and theinternational designator 2001-053B. TheUnited States Space Command assigned it theSatellite Catalog Number 26988.[1]
It was in the first orbital plane in orbital slot 3. It is no longer part of the GLONASS constellation.[3][4]
