Kolleen Casey Shields (born 1959) was agymnast who competed for theUnited States in the1976 Montreal Olympics.[1] She finished 23rd in thevault, an event won byNadia Comăneci.[1] She was the 1975 U.S. national champion in vault.[2] Shields competed forSouthwest Missouri State University from 1977 to 1979, where she won theHonda Sports Award as the nation's top female gymnast in 1979.[2][3] She transferred to theUniversity of Minnesota, graduating with a degree in Physical Therapy. Shields became aphysical therapist attheUniversity of Iowa.
