TheKokama (also spelledCocama,Portuguese:Cocamas) are an indigenous ethnic group of theAmazon that historically spoke theCocama language. Today, the Kokama live in the countries ofPeru,Brazil, andColombia. In 2005, the known Kokama population was 786.[1]
