
Koca Yusuf Pasha was anOttoman statesman. He wasgrand vizier from 25 January 1786 to 28 May 1789 (during reign ofAbdul Hamid I), andKapudan Pasha (Grand Admiral of theOttoman Navy) after 19 December 1789.[1] He became grand vizier again, this time serving from 12 February 1791 until mid-1792 (during reign ofSelim III). He is considered to be one of the best Ottoman commanders of his time period,[2]
He was aGeorgian convert toIslam and also served as thegovernor of thePeloponnese.[3]
