Kobato Station (小波渡駅,Kobato-eki) is arailway station in the city ofTsuruoka, Yamagata, Japan, operated byEast Japan Railway Company (JR East).
Kobato Station is served by theUetsu Main Line, and is located 120.1 kilometres (74.6 mi) rail kilometers from theterminus of the line atNiitsu Station.[1]
Kobato Station has two opposedside platforms serving two tracks. The platforms are connected by an underground passageway. The station is unattended.

Kobato Station opened on February 1, 1950.[2] With theprivatization ofJNR on April 1, 1987, the station came under the control of JR East.[1]
