Kiong Nai (orJiongnai,Chinese:炯奈语;pinyin:Jiǒngnàiyǔ) is a divergentHmongic (Miao) language spoken inJinxiu County,Guangxi,China. The speakers'autonym is pronounced[kjɔŋ33nai33] or[kjaŋ31nɛ31];kjɔŋ33 means 'mountain', whilenai33 means 'people'.[4] Mao & Li (2002) believe it to be most closely related toShe.
Mao & Li (2002) divide Jiongnai into two major dialects.
Jiongnai is spoken in the following villages in three townships ofJinxiu Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi.[5]
