Kinnickinnic State Park is a 1,242-acre (503 ha)Wisconsinstate park in which theKinnickinnic River, locally known asKinni River, joins theSt. Croix River. The mouth of the Kinnickinnic River forms a sandydelta upon which boaters can picnic and camp.[1]
The banks of the Kinnickinnic River are lined withWeymouth pine trees. River is rich withtrout.
More than 140 species of birds, such asanseriformes, visit the Kinnickinnic Valley during thebird migration[citation needed]. In the summer months, the number drops to 85 to 90 species, namelypheasants andgrey partridges. In addition, there are alsobald eagles in the winter months. In 1989, wildturkeys were resettled to the state park.
Themammal wildlife that frequent Kinnickinnic State Park include various species ofwhite-tailed deer,raccoons,American minks,red andgray fox,red squirrel,rabbit,weasel andNorth American beaver.
