Kim Nilsson (born 4 February 1990)[1][2] is aSwedishmotorcycle speedway rider who won bronze medal in the2008 Team U-21 World Championship.
Born onStockholm, Nilsson rode in British speedway between 2009 and 2017, first in thePremier League forNewport Wasps (2009-11), and in theElite League forLakeside Hammers (2011–2013, 2014–2016)Eastbourne Eagles (2013),[3] andLeicester Lions (2017).[1][4]
He has raced in fiveSpeedway Grand Prix, scoring a total of 12 points, and in oneWorld Cup event, scoring 4 points.[1] In 2021, he joinedRospiggarna.[5]
In 2022, he won the2023 Speedway Grand Prix Qualification event, which qualified him to take part as a permanent rider for the2023 Speedway Grand Prix.[6] Also in 2023, he was part of the Swedish team that competed at the2023 Speedway World Cup in Poland.[7] His debut 2023 Grand Prix season ended in 13th place.
His fatherTommy Nilsson was also a professional speedway rider.[4]
