Kim Ho-kon (Korean: 김호곤;RR: Kim Ho-gon; born 26 March 1951) is a South Koreanfootball manager and former football player who played as asweeper orright back.[3][4] He was the captain of theSouth Korea national football team in the1978 Asian Games where they won the gold medal.[5] He also managedUlsan Hyundai from 2009 to 2013, and was noted for his attractive tactics, nicknamed the "Iron mace football" by showing a mortal blow during the defensive play.[6] In 2012, he won the2012 AFC Champions League, and was named theAsian Coach of the Year.[7] However, he resigned from the team after coming a close second in the2013 K League 1.[8]
