Enrique "Kike" Maíllo Iznájar (Catalan:[kiˈkeməˈiʎu]; born 3 June 1975)[1] is a Spanish film director and screenwriter. He is best known forEva, which won him the 2011Goya Award for Best New Director.
From 1994 Maíllo studied at the Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya (ESCAC).[2] His degree project was the short filmLas cabras de Freud, withTristán Ulloa in the lead role. Since 2000 he has taught screenwriting and directing the ESCAC.[2]
