Kibergsneset[1] is apeninsula inVardø Municipality inFinnmark county,Norway. The small peninsula is located on the largerVaranger Peninsula along theBarents Sea. The village ofKiberg sits on the southwestern shore of the peninsula and the town ofVardø is located about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) to the northeast.[2]
There is acoastal fortress on the southeastern part of the peninsula. It was built by the occupying Germans duringWorld War II. Kibergsneset is theeasternmost point of mainland Norway.[3]
