TheKhemchik (Russian:Хемчик;Tuvan:Хемчик,Xemçik) is a river inTuva inRussia, a left tributary of theYenisey. The length of the river is 320 km, the area of itsdrainage basin is 27,000 km2.[1] The Khemchik freezes up in November and remains icebound until late April - early May. Its main tributaries are theAlash andAk-Sug from the left, and theBarlyk andChadan from the right.[2] The townAk-Dovurak is located in the valley of the Khemchik.[2]
