TheKhema script, also known asGurung Khema,Khema Phri,Khema Lipi, is used to write theGurung language. TheLanguage Commission of Nepal recognizes Khema as the official script of Gurung.[1]

Usage

Devdaha Mother Tongues Academy, located inRupandehi, teaches Gurung in the Khema script.[2] The Khema script is used inSikkim to officially write the Gurung language.[3]

The Khema script was added to theUnicode Standard in September, 2024 with the release of version 16.0.
