Khatarah (Arabic:ختاره,Kurdish:خهتارێ,romanized: Xetarê,[2][3] alternatively spelledKhatare orHatarah) is a town located in theTel Kaif District of theNinawa Governorate in northernIraq. It is located 50 kilometres (31 mi) north ofMosul in theNineveh Plains. It belongs to thedisputed territories of Northern Iraq.[4][5]
