Keysville is a town inBurke andJefferson counties in theU.S. state ofGeorgia. As of the2020 census, the city's population was 300.

History

TheGeorgia General Assembly incorporated Keysville as a town in 1890.[4] In 1933, the government was dissolved although its charter was not revoked.[5] In late 1990, the government was reconstituted.[6]

Keysville is located at33°14′7″N82°13′54″W / 33.23528°N 82.23167°W /33.23528; -82.23167 (33.235293, −82.231687),[7] 23 miles (37 km) southwest of downtownAugusta.

According to theUnited States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.1 square miles (2.8 km2), of which 0.023 square miles (0.06 km2), or 2.08%, is water.[8]

Keysville first appeared in the1930 U.S. Census.[13] It did not appear in the1960 U.S. census, the1970 U.S. census, or the1980 United States census,[16] It reappeared in the1990 U.S. census.[17]
