Yu Chun-an (Chinese:俞俊安;Wade–Giles:Yu2 Chun4-an1 born 11 August 1998), commonly known asKevin Yu, is a Taiwaneseprofessional golfer.[2]
Yu has represented his country at multiple international competitions. He took the gold medal at the2013 Asian Youth Games and wonindividual bronze andteam gold at the2014 Asian Games.[3] He competed at the2014 Summer Youth Olympics. He also competed at the2017 Summer Universiade, winning bronze medals in theindividual andteam events. At the2018 Asian Games, he finished fourth in theindividual competition and fifth in theteam competition. He has also competed at theNomura Cup (2013, 2015),Eisenhower Trophy (2014,2016),Bonallack Trophy (2016) andArnold Palmer Cup (2019).[4]
Yu played golf forArizona State University from January 2017, winning three individual collegiate titles and finishing third, behindMatthew Wolff, in the individual competition at the2019 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship.[5] He won theAustralian Master of the Amateurs in early 2019.[6] He qualified for the2020 U.S. Open, his third consecutive qualification in the event.[7]
Yu turned professional in 2021.[4] He earned status on theKorn Ferry Tour for 2021 through the PGA Tour University program.[8] He has two top-10 finishes in his first four starts.
In October 2024, Yu won his first PGA Tour event; theSanderson Farms Championship, winning on the first hole of a playoff againstBeau Hossler.[9]
