Kevin James Wilson (born 18 April 1961) is a former professionalfootballer who played as astriker. He was most recently manager ofBanbury United. Born in England, he represented Northern Ireland internationally.

Biography

Born inBanbury, Wilson started his career atSouthern League clubBanbury United, before signing forDerby County in 1979 for £20,000, which remains the record transfer fee received by Banbury.[3] After Derby he played forIpswich,Chelsea,Notts County,Bradford City,Walsall, andNorthampton Town. At international level, Wilson played forNorthern Ireland 42 times, scoring six goals.[4] He is a former manager of Northampton Town,Bedford Town,Kettering Town andHucknall Town. He was the manager ofCorby Town until January 2008.

On 1 June 2009 he was appointed manager ofConference North sideIlkeston Town.

In May 2015 Wilson leftIlkeston to become manager ofNuneaton Town, following their relegation from theConference Premier. In 2014–15 he had led Ilkeston to theNorthern Premier League play-off final, where they lost toCurzon Ashton.[5]

In January 2024, he was appointed as the manager of Banbury United.[6]
