Kevin Lyles (born July 23, 1973) is an American formersprinter.[1] He won gold medals with the United States in the4 × 400-meter relay at the1993 Summer Universiade and at the1995 World Championships in Athletics, where he was an alternate runner in the heats stage.
In college, he ran forSeton Hall University where he was the 1993Big East Indoor Championship's Most Outstanding Track Performer.[2] At national level, he placed sixth in the 400 m at the1995 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He achieved his personal record of 45.01 seconds that year, which ranked him 15th in the world that season.[3] He ceased competing at top level after the 1997 season.
FromIrvington, New Jersey,[4] he married Seton Hall track athlete Keisha Bishop. Their children are100 m and200 m World ChampionNoah Lyles and2014 World Junior ChampionJosephus Lyles.[5]
